Graduation Success

Prisoners and ex-offenders at The Clink have celebrated a number of personal awards in the last few months for which we would like to pass on our congratulations.

Giorgio Locatelli at The Clink

On the 21st January 2011, The Home-Start charity held a fundraising event for 70 people at The Clink Restaurant. Giorgio Locatelli joined the prisoners working at The Clink who cooked and presented a delicious lunch to the guests. Home-Start offers support, friendship and practical help to parents with young children in local communities throughout the UK and with British Forces in Germany and Cyprus. Seasonal Produce

January is a quiet month, at the moment we have Brussel Sprouts, Black Kale (Cavolo Nero) and Purple Sprouting Broccoli growing in the polytunnels. The sprouts are just coming to a harvestable size, their development delayed by the recent bad weather.
Most of the Celeriac have now been lifted,washed and placed into store. They will be taken to the Clink as and when required. A few remain in the ground.

Christmas Lunch Sold Out

The Clink Christmas lunch has once again proven a sell-out with an overwhelming number of bookings and requests. Offering an outstanding menu available from 12.00pm until 3.00pm, Monday to Friday, during December for just £16.50 per person, availability had completely sold out by early November and the team served 1276 members of the public.
