Waitrose and The Clink

The Clink is delighted to have been chosen by Waitrose in Banstead as one of the three chosen charities to have been supported throughout October.
The unique scheme is called Community Matters and each month every branch is given £1,000 to share out between three charitable causes within their local area. Tales from the Potting Shed

With the onset of cooler weather things are noticeably slower with regards to the crops. The last of the lettuce in the polytunnels has now been picked, although we still have some pot grown lettuce in the small heated glasshouse that are not yet ready. This will provide a source of baby leaves for use in The Clink Restaurant for the next month or two.

Antonio Carluccio comes to The Clink

Our next fundraising lunch will be held next month on Tuesday 20th December at The Clink restaurant. Prisoners will serve non-alcoholic bucks fizz to guests on arrival, followed by a four-course Italian lunch with coffee cooked by the prisoners with the direction and guidance of Antonio Carluccio.
