Graduate update

Our training programme is now in full swing with both The Clink Restaurant at HMP High Down and The Clink Cymru at HMP Cardiff training up to 28 prisoners, in the restaurant and kitchen, at one time.

Julie Peasgood appointed as sustainability ambassador

We are delighted to announce that Julie Peasgood, the well-known actress, television presenter, author and voice over artist, has been appointed as the first ever sustainability ambassador for The Clink Restaurant at HMP High Down.

Another wonderful Christmas in The Clink

Christmas is a busy time of year for most restaurants and 2012’s festive season was no different for The Clink Restaurant at HMP High Down with the kitchen team preparing and front of house serving over 1,700 Christmas lunches throughout December.

Two new Clink Restaurants to open in 2013

Work on the next two Clink training restaurants is well underway and we have been working closely with the architects to finalise the plans – both restaurants will open to the public later this year. With the opening of the two new sites there will be a total of four Clink training restaurants in operation by 2014. This will enable us to train up to 200 Clink graduates a year and release them into full-time employment within the hospitality industry.

New Season Menu Launch

Our new season menus have now been finalised by Al and the team and are available at both restaurants. Created with the approaching season in mind, the menus offer diners fresh and seasonal dishes that have been produced using locally sourced and British ingredients that are in their prime.
