Statistics, graduations, new trainees & achievements

Last year looks to be our most successful year to date with over 160 prisoners in training across two training restaurants and almost one third of those trainees being released into employment. With the opening of The Clink Restaurant at HMP Brixton in February, this time next year we will be able to see a significant increase in the number of graduates being released.

Stats, graduations & achievements

With January drawing to a close we’ve had a look back at our achievements over the last four and a half years, especially with 2013 looking to be our most successful year to date. Since launching in May 2009, The Clink Restaurant at HMP High Down has trained 386 prisoners in food preparation, food service and industrial cleaning.

Outcomes and Results

We have achieved extraordinary results since 2009 and the reoffending rate of Clink graduates is significantly lower than the national average of 47%.
Clink graduate reoffending rates after one full year of release:

In 2010, 14% of graduates reoffended
In 2011, 12.5% of graduates reoffended

In 2012 we trained 88 prisoners of which 26 were released into employment.
