49% reduction in reoffending

The Clink Charity’s sole aim is to reduce reoffending rates of ex-offenders. We work in partnership with Her Majesty’s Prison Service to run projects that train and give practical skills to prisoners to aid their rehabilitation. The Clink Restaurants allow prisoners to learn, engage with the public and take their first steps towards a new life.

Here’s what some of our well-known supporters have to say:

The Clink is doing great things for prisons, people, local communities and the reputation of Britain’s catering industry, and I salute it unreservedly.Giles Coren, columnist and restaurant critic for The Times

“We want prisons to be places of hard work and high ambition, with incentives for prisoners to learn and I am delighted that the Clink restaurant gives prisoners the skills and qualifications needed to secure employment on release.

“The Justice Secretary announced a major overhaul of the prison system last week. Our measures will create prisons that are places of safety and reform, giving prisoners the education and skills they need to turn their back on crime for good.” Sam Gyimah MP, Justice Minister (Prisons, Probation, Sentencing)

Together we can pave the way to a brighter future for those who want, and deserve, a second chance at life.
