The Duchess learnt how training and working in the restaurant and gaining NVQ qualifications is transforming the lives of women in HMP Styal. After a tour of the kitchen, where she saw trainees preparing for the day’s service the Duchess got the chance to chat to some of the trainees and discuss their involvement in the restaurant.
The Duchess also took the opportunity to talk to diners who were enjoying a meal in the restaurant during her visit. At the end of the visit Prince Charles joined the Duchess at The Clink before their next engagement.
