2023 marks the 900th anniversary of Britain’s oldest hospital, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, as well as London’s oldest parish church, St Bartholomew the Great.

In celebration of the momentous occasion and for the first time, a service of thanksgiving was held at St Paul’s Cathedral followed by a reception at the City of London’s Guildhall on Wednesday 10th May. Clink Events catered for this very special event with a drinks and canape reception for 1,500 guests.

The canapes and food were prepared and cooked in our central production kitchen at HMP Downview, where our students are training towards gaining their City and Guilds NVQs in Food Preparation and Cookery. Canapes included Pea and Mint Pannacotta, Summer Berry Eton Mess and Lemon Meringue Pie and were served on trays decked out with strawberry bunting, the Underground map and even a traditional red London bus.

The Clink Events team were delighted to be involved in such a prestigious event and are looking forward to a busy summer including weddings, birthday celebrations and an awards ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral in June.
