Songs of Praise comes to Styal 

A few weeks ago, the BBC crew arrived at HMP Styal to film for this Sunday’s Songs of Praise on BBC One. Songs of Praise presenter Claire McCollum visited The Clink Restaurant to meet learners in the kitchen and interview Clink Graduates, who shared their stories. During filming, Claire was served a delicious meal in the restaurant which has recently reopened.

Discovering more about how The Clink works through conversation with Clink Charity CEO Chris Moore, viewers will hear inspiring stories from Clink Graduates talking about their own journeys after The Clink and how lives have been transformed, bringing renewed hope for the future.

Together with discussions with Rev Jonathan Aitken and HMPSS Chaplaincy Advisor Canon Tim Bryan, this edition of Songs of Praise marks Prison Sunday on 11th October.

The Clink Styal welcomes back customers 

During the last few months, The Clink has been working on its reopening plans. Unlike other restaurants who were able to open in July, the unique location and staffing of Clink restaurants meant special considerations to ensure restaurants could be reopened safely.

Operating on limited days and lunch service only, the highly-rated Styal restaurant has been busy serving customers again in the last few weeks and contacting all those customers who were unable to take their bookings due to lockdown.

Lunch service is available on Thursday, Friday and Monday plus open for our popular Sunday lunch service. All guests must be booked in prior to arrival in line with the Government’s Track & Trace scheme.

The Clink Styal new opening times: 

Thursday 12 noon – 3.00 pm
Friday 12 noon – 3.00 pm
Sunday Lunch 12 noon – 4.00 pm
Monday 12 noon – 3.00 pm
